  2. Is this a brokerage service?

Not a “typical brokerage”- I would say no, because “broker” and “brokerage” have many different meanings. If you search for “brokers near me” on the internet, or similar terms, your search results are likely to bring up independent auto dealerships near you. Most brokers have their hands or finances tied in with buying and selling vehicles in one way or another.

We do not buy nor sell vehicles personally for this business or for our clients or dealers.

Sigman Auto Negotiations does not offer or promote any specific type of financing or loans either. We are not licensed financial advisors.

So what do we do? Realistically the best terminology would be “consulting”. Offering our advice and connections regarding buying and selling vehicles and other services for dealers which may or may not be related depending on what they are. Our advice is based on many years of experience. We do have preferred dealers and vendors that we like doing business with. You can explore a full list of our services and see our Terms of Service by using the scroll header menu and visiting different pages of the website, www.sigmanautonegotiations.com

  3. What leads a person to use a broker (or similar) vs going to a dealership?

Saving Time and Money- A lot of people don’t want to deal with “the hassle” of going to a dealership. After selling cars for years and managing dealerships as well, I totally understand why! It takes hours. Salesmen go back and forth. You never really know if you are getting a “good deal” despite what they tell you. It can feel uncomfortable and intimidating. It’s a huge purchase, often the most expensive behind buying a home.

Fortunately, all of us at Sigman Auto Negotiations do know what a good deal is, and how to do those kinds of deals in the best interest of the client, while also being fair to the dealership, as we support dealers being for profit businesses! Our processes and profit margins are super transparent, we will happily break anything down to the penny and explain to you how financing or buying any kind of car, anywhere in the US works.

We can get your vehicle delivered to you, you never have to step foot in a dealership if you don’t want to. If you do want to, that works too! We make the process so easy peasy.

   4. What types of vehicles and dealers do you work with?

Only the best- We are really proud of that. We have strict limitations on what kind of vehicles will offer advice or opinions on or assist with locating or buying or selling. To best serve our clients and dealers, we want to eliminate any issues, as issues can happen with vehicles, since they are machines.

We love dealing in brand new cars. All of them. If you need a go to church and the hairdresser gas saver or if you want an exotic hard to find specialty unit, we got it covered. Pre-owned vehicles, we like Certified units, and generally we stay within 10 years old, 100k miles or less, with exceptions for some vehicles.

The dealers and vendors that we recommend are numerous and all over the country.

We do not work with any/all dealers. Not all dealers meet our requirements to do business with. So please talk to us before you decide where to purchase your next vehicle!

  5. What qualifications must a potential car buyer meet to use this service?

Please See the For Clients Page of the Website- In order to use this service you must be in the market to purchase a vehicle within the next 30 days. You must meet general financing guidelines and/or requirements by banks in order to qualify for the type of loan/financing you are seeking. You must know, have access to and provide your recent/current credit report. More details are available on the For Clients Page.

  6. Who pays for this service?

Dealers Do!- Yes, this service is fully supported and paid for by the dealer who sells a vehicle to our client.

Why? It’s so cool, from the dealers perspective, they are basically working with an experienced salesperson and/or sales manager and finance expert as well as our professional trade appraisal guy, Ivan, who is one of the very best car buyers in the industry. We go in saying, “if you have this car, we are ready to put together a full deal on it, with fair profit margins for both the client and dealer, we will submit it to you now if you are ready.” We do all the work and already know about what your total price and payment will be.

Dealers love our process, clients do as well.

  7. Why would a car buyer use Sigman Auto Negotiations over Carvana or Carmax?

Please don’t ask such silly questions lol- Carvana and Carmax are two totally different types of companies, first of all. I despise Carvana with the passion of a thousand burning suns. Carvana run by a convicted criminal, they have predatory financing (in my humble opinion), their warranty company is trash and no reputable new franchise store should honor it, I happen to think. I hate Carvana, always have, always will.

What Carvana has in common with Carmax is that they both only buy and sell used vehicles. They also both use sales processes that are different in their own right than most new or used car dealerships. I can appreciate that Carvana focuses on delivery and virtual buying processes, Carmax does too or did more at one point it seems to me. Since they are not New Car dealerships, they don’t specialize in any particular brand. Their technicians are expected to work on every make and model that comes through. They probably spend the bare minimum on reconditioning their vehicles, although I have a favorable opinion of how Carmax services cars overall, minus a few key incidents that I do recall. I have an extremely negative opinion of how Carvana treats their vehicles. Neither of them can or will fix manufacturer recalls, to my knowledge, they can not do that themselves without sending the vehicle to a reputable dealer.

That is the #1 reason to use this service, I make sure that we work with dealers who actually care, real humans that are available to talk and help solve a problem if there is one. There has been, I have had to get vehicles fixed, deal with difficult transport companies, all kinds of things and I know how to make car deals happen with a level of skill and care that Carvana and Carmax could never come close to.

Plus I can find any car anywhere, Carvana and Car Max buy and sell in the same auctions that most dealers use.
